Tahniah, tahniah, tahniah

"The waiting is finally over..." Komen kebanyakan manusia yang ternanti2 result PMR semalam. Saya sendiri pun terpaksa mengawal fungsi jantung yang terpaksa mengepam darah lebih aktif sejak subuh hari.
Waiting for the result this year memang menyesakan nafas saya. With all the expectation about this batch, saya terpaksa berdoa lebih. Salah. Berdoa mana boleh terpaksa. Memang kena sentiasa berdoa. Alhamdulillah, keputusan subjek saya diluar jangkaan. Agak la. Ramai yang score A and it turned out to be among the best subjects.
PMR hanyalah sebuah ujian dunia. Masih banyak lagi peluang mencipta kejayaan selepas ini. Yang penting jangan mudah mengalah. There's a lot 'A's waiting for you along the road. All you have to do is choosing the best A for your life. Which A? It is up to you to decide....
Apa2 pun saya sentiasa mendoakan yang terbaik untuk kita semua. Mudah2an kejayaan anak murid saya hari ini menjadi titik tolak kepada kejayaan Islam selepas ini.....Amin.

Sharing is caring

It is nice to see children share things. Tapi dia orang ni ikut angin juga. Kalau tengah mood baik tu semua benda nak share. Baik sangat. Tapi kalau berperang macam tsunami.

Kat Giant, lepas jalan2.
Nak naikkan lelayang tapi angin kuat sangat. So makan aiskrim jelah..
Exercise konon.
Ni rutin mingguan kami. Kalau ada masa mesti gi jogging kat park. Konon nak maintain exercise everyweek. Tapi bila tiba angin malas, hubby terpaksa jogging sesorang. Saya lepak-lepak je sambil makan ice-cream tengok budak2 main. Makin montel ler jawabnya. Kadang2 siap berkelah lagi, makan keropok lekor and pisang goreng. Apa2 pun buat kerja kat rumah pun dah kira exercise kan. Penat juga tu..

Oh Dear Teacher!

This is the story of Abdullah Omar, a kampung boy who started out with almost no proficiency in English, managed to achieve the highest band (Band 9) in the ELS examinations after just one year of study on the scholarship scheme provided, a certificate that pronounced him winner of the Tun Dr Mahathir UPM-ELS Scholarship award.

“Mathematics and English were my worst subjects. I was constantly failing both and I really didn’t like the teachers. Probably they didn’t like me very much either.”

“Anyway I think on the whole I wasn’t really interested in school. That’s why I dropped out after Year Six. I preferred to lie back and float in the river behind my house.”

“I started work in a restaurant. After all, I couldn’t qualify for anything else. I was washing dishes, serving customers, collecting bills. I was the all-in-one restaurant worker. That’s where I met Dr Jaya.”

Dr Jaya was swimming against the current. There were hours and hours of prodding, nudging and elbowing Abdullah who despite all that, played truant several times and even managed to get into trouble with the law.

“Once, he simply just ran away.”

Each time the boy wanted to quit, each time he found that it was too difficult, each time he fell, there were the hands of Dr Jaya to catch hold of him, fix him up and set him back on track.
And the professor did it with the tenacity and determination of a bloodhound, every step of the way.

It is sometimes hard for us to imagine this kind of interest shown in the education of another individual, on the part of someone who is of no blood relation, and in fact an entirely different faith and race.

It is not common, this perseverance, and the investment of so much time and effort in one student’s life, despite repeated failure and many disappointments.
But what is perhaps most compelling is that there was no guarantee, no assurance at all whether all that effort was going to be worth it in the end.

And yet, there must reside in the heart of this man the very elements that define excellence in a teacher the qualities that distinguish the outstanding educator from the mediocre.

This is a teacher who knows that the act of educating is not just about the making and learning of books, but about reaching people and taking them to a higher level. And that the act of educating is about investing part of your life into someone else’s, even if you are unsure about the returns.
It is about allowing people to dream their dreams. And sometimes, it is also about the placing of dreams in the minds of people. Especially in the minds of young people who float on rivers mindlessly. People like Abdullah.

This is what teaching is all about....teachers who believe that every child is teachable.

New template lagi

Pagi tadi baru tukar template baru ngan Iman, so simple sampai hubby kata tak menarik langsung. So malam2 buta ni dah tak boleh tidur memikirkan new design pulak. Nasib baiklah Hidayah pun tak boleh tidur juga, so sama2 lah kami meng 'edit' blog ni... in the end dah jadi blog baby girl lah pulak. Habis pink semua benda. It takes 1 hour, so now dah lepas masa tidur. Orang lain dah selamat belayar, Hidayah sambung baca novel, saya pulak semangat menulis.

Ish,ish. Tak patut betul. Kesian anakanda saya tu. Sejak cuti ni asyik sibuk je. Kalau tak sibuk berjalan kena tolong saya kat rumah. Now dah dapat kerja kontrak jual buku sekolah pulak dari hari Jumaat-Ahad. Lepas tu jadi AJK P-Eks, kena berkampung selama 4 hari di Shah Alam.. Tapi hari Rabu dah kena balik sebab result PMR keluar hari Khamis.

Life is simple...

Lately ni saya dah tak suka benda2 yang serabut. Kalau boleh semua benda nak simplified. Yes I mean everything, unless kalau dah tak boleh nak buat apa2. That includes this blog template. Anakanda saya yang tolong buatkan sebenarnya..hehe.

Puteri sulong saya tu baru habis SPM. Since tak perlu study(for SPM) lagi banyak lah masa dia nak buat benda lain. Now sibuk study nak ambik lesen kereta lah pulak. Kursus KPP dah sudah dah, now dok prepare for ujian undang2 pulak. Ni dok bising menghafal undang2 jalan raya. Style SPM juga..sibuk menghafal jer. Habis pereksa semua lupa.
"Ayah, apa maksud KEJARA?" bising suara dia dok bertanya.
"Kejar anak dara...." Haha... hubby buat lawak. Padanlah dua beranak tu...
Apa2 pun hari Isnin nanti dia kena ujian kat Sri Gombak. Pandai2 la nak jawab. Lepas dapat lesen nanti pepandai ler cari duit nak beli kereta sendiri.

Singgah Nilai visit Cucu

Hari Khamis minggu lepas hubby ada kerja di Nilai. So sementara menunggu, kita curi masa jalan-jalan di AEON Mall Nilai sambil layan cucu.  ...
